Father’s Day Weekend
My friends, as many of you know, we like to travel to Italy, food, wine, culture. It’s our chance to explore food across the pond. If you love meat, this picture above depicts one of the most delicious cuts you will ever enjoy. It is a 32 ounce porterhouse called in Italy, Bistecca alla Fiorentina or The Beefsteak of Florence.
We rub with garlic, rosemary, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper and rest overnight. We bring meat to room temperature and cook over a wicked hot grill standing up on the bone. Half the cut of beef is Filet Mignon, while the other is the NY Strip Steak. All in one neat package.
These steaks are aged and we only cook to medium-rare at most. So if Dad is a steak lover, we have 12 of these beauties for this weekend. If you’re coming out for Father’s day, kindly reserve one for your family.
